16 Dec I’m Dreaming of a White Kitchen
Running a successful jewelry store while parenting two young boys, the goal for Nicki and Sami’s kitchen was to create an organized, efficient, open concept space for family time and large party entertaining.
In order to achieve this, we moved the sliding glass door into the den and took down the wall down. We created a peninsula where the wall was to allow seating and a view into the den so they could keep their eyes on the boys. A small prep sink was added to the peninsula and a small beverage under-counter refrigerator for easy access. Nicki said she feels like she is the captain of a ship when she stands at her new, larger kitchen window looking out into her gorgeous backyard (which she essentially is!)
Pairing the white finish cabinets with a natural white quartzite makes the kitchen appear larger, brighter and without visual confusion. Organization is key to running a happy, smooth household so we added plenty of gadgets and rollout trays.
A pantry and cabana bath were added to the small rooms at the end of the kitchen. Here, in the pantry, everything that shouldn’t been seen is tucked away with a closed door.
Here are some of the before pictures:
We just love how this kitchen remodel turned out and are looking forward to helping Nicki and Sami renovate their jewelry store in 2020!
