We've spent the last few months renovating a lovely 1928 Spanish colonial in Long Beach. Kathy, a beauty executive who has lived there for seven years, liked the existing kitchen layout but wanted to reconfigure some of the appliances and update the cabinets.

I recently had the honor of being invited to the Napa Valley region to experience the luxury brand appliance, Signature Kitchen Suites. Along with about 25 other east coast NKBA designers, we worked with on-site executive Chef Nick to acquaint ourselves firsthand with the capabilities of these incredible appliances. SKS boasts the tagline "True to Food" and demonstrates respect for food at every level by delivering performance, design and precision.

Alessandra and Anthony knew exactly what they wanted when they contacted me to redesign the kitchen in their beautiful waterfront home in Merrick they purchased 7 years ago.  Both busy professionals, he an attorney and she an accountant with three small children, they stressed that organization and simplicity was a top priority.

Pre-gaming for Holiday House Hamptons yesterday, a group of design aficionados and I got together in the charming, old whaling town of Sag Harbor to feed our common interests of all things beautiful and delicious. We later visited the first ever Holiday House Hamptons and finished the day with cocktails at the lovely Hampton home of Libby Langdon.
