These days are busy, busy, busy preparing for Home Is Where The Heart Is Designer Showhouse in Mill Neck to benefit The American Heart Association where I will be doing a little girl's bedroom and bath. My room will feature beautiful, hand painted furniture from Grange and Duralee's fabric from Bailey & Griffin and Tilton Fenwick. Here is a sneak peak at my concept board:
The gala preview cocktail party is being held April 16th with Kim Radovich as Design Chair and Honorary Showhouse Chair Tyler Wisler of HGTV's Design Star. The show will run from April 17 through May 31, 2015.

The thought of attending High Point Market to navigate 180 buildings, 11.5 million square feet of show space, along with 75,000 attendees to shop for furniture in just two and a half days was daunting, to say the least. So daunting, in fact, this past weekend was my first time ever, along with my friend and colleague, Meredith, another newbie. I had never made the trek because I was always too busy with clients, had my go-to lines that served me well, didn't want to take time away from the family and had heard how overwhelming market is. Thankfully High Point has been doing this since 1909 and has gotten it down to a science with an online planning guide, shuttles that take you everywhere, information booths galore and the MyMarketApp for your mobile device.
